About

Canción Franklin is a Tucson-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose music lives at the crossroads of American roots, country, blues, soul, and rock ’n’ roll. With a commanding guitar style, deep grooves, and lyrics built on equal parts vulnerability and grit, Franklin has developed a sound that feels timeless without looking backward. His music carries the swagger of Chicago blues, the storytelling of classic country, and the restless energy of rock ’n’ roll.

In 2026, Franklin continued that evolution with the six-song EP The Highway And The Morning Stars. Featuring “Wild And Free,” “She’s Going To A Better Place,” “Pass Me By,” and “Pretty Something Something,” the record moves between open-road independence, reflection, heartbreak, resilience, and the lived-in stories that have become central to his songwriting.

New music continued through the summer with the singles “Twelve Tristezas” and “Stephanie,” extending one of Franklin’s most active recording periods to date.

A working musician at heart, Franklin has spent 2026 bringing that music to stages throughout the East Coast and beyond. Whether alone with a guitar or backed by a band, his performances put the songs, guitar work, and unmistakable character of the music at the center of the room.

American roots. Country soul.

Blues grit. Rock ’n’ roll.
